Newlands Farm, Stud & Livery

Meet the Staff:

Elisa Buston - YARD MANAGER

Elisa has managed Newlands Farm for nearly 5 years. She came to us after many years of managing the Royal Marines Equitation Center Poole. She has herself competed in all disciplines, especially show jumping at Foxhunter level.

Elisa, her husband David and daughter Megan all compete in all 3 disciplines at an affiliated level. So the Buston household is a very horsey one!

She teaches and helps clients prepare for competitions. She particularly enjoys producing Newlands youngstock, from foals through to them competing. She has recently broken and produced a homebred little mare NF MOLLY MALONE, who won at Novice level British Eventing in her 1st season with Antionette McKeowen.

Our yard rider is Elisa's daughter Megan. At just 16 years old she competes weekly through the winter at British dressage and BSJA, regularly gains BD points and is placed on various rides she has as well as our horses. She has won at British eventing Open Intro level and placed at open Pre-novice. Megan schools and completes all our young horses and ponies at the farm. This year she has started riding and competing for owners for horses based with us.

Louise Murrell -

Our newest member of staff, Louise has experience in the racing world as well as other livery and riding schools. She has worked with young stock and stallions. She enjoys Show jumping and cross-country on her own horse and is working on her flatwork.

Helen Cousins -

Helen has been a key member of staff since the beginning of the business in 1992. She is involved the caring of the horses at livery with us, as well as caring for the broodmares, foals and the young stock, from weaning to when they are ready to be broken in to ride.
